Picture Werner John playing his flute in a high meadow like this one, enjoying the view and the clouds for hours and having time to think about the world. Werner brings this peaceful, insightful mode of being to his music and flutes, to his courses and writings and meditation circles. His gifts of beauty and inspiration have helped thousands in our overstressed culture find a measure of peace.

This blog celebrates Werner’s 50th year of meditation practice. The central insight he explores here is that full spectrum human life is possible and can help rebalance our world. Full spectrum means awareness of our spiritual nature and its manifestation in personal character as we pursue all the everyday activities and relationships of life.
Mystics past and present have realized that we’re far more energetically connected to others than we think, and subtly influence everyone and everything around us. Science has also found that everything we perceive as material reality is actually and factually made up of energetic fields that extend throughout the universe. The ever diminishing space between mysticism and quantum field theory, between the ineffable and the incredible, is also explored here. Becoming able to expand our day-to-day experience into these unbounded realms, rather than staying caught in never ending cycles of compulsion and addiction, is called liberation for a reason. It is freeing! It is wonderful!
This blog therefore welcomes anyone who has at least a corner of their mind open to reflecting on the experience of mystics past and present and the tremendous implications of this kind of life for individuals and the planet.
